Newport Dog Park rules

We want to create a fun and stress-free environment for dogs and their people. Here's the short version of our park rules.

If you have any issues and need our help, please call us on 01952 374 004.

When you arrive

  • Arrive no more than five minutes before your session begins and park away from the park itself, until the other customer has left.
  • Wait until the previous customer and their dogs are securely in their car before you let your dogs out of your car.
  • Only enter the park itself if it is empty.
  • Keep your dogs on their lead until they are in the park itself and the gate is secure. The car park is not dog proof.

During your visit

  • Please pick up after your dog. There is a bin by the entrance gate.
  • Bring only vaccinated dogs.
  • Do not allow your dogs to dig. Please let us know straight away if your dog has dug a hole anywhere on the park.
  • Only use the agility equipment at your own risk and if you are confident your dog is up to it.
  • Well behaved children are welcome but this is a dog park first and foremost.
  • Do not move hay bales or any other equipment.

Please note: any abusive behaviour towards other customers or staff will result in a lifetime ban.

Here is the longer version of our terms of use.

Dog Park Terms of Booking and Use

By booking a session and using our dog park, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These are in place to ensure the safety, enjoyment, and well-being of all dogs, owners, and visitors.

1. Booking and Arrival

Arrival Timing: Please arrive no more than five minutes before your session starts and park away from the park area until the previous customer has left.

Wait for Others: Do not let your dogs out of your vehicle until the previous customer and their dogs have securely exited the park and are in their vehicle.

Session Time: Your session time is fixed. Late arrivals may result in less time in the park, and we cannot extend the session due to subsequent bookings.

Cancellations and Rescheduling: You may cancel or reschedule your booking up to 24 hours in advance. No changes can be made after this period, including for weather-related reasons.

2. Use of the Park

Entering the Park: Only enter the park when it is empty. Keep your dogs on a lead until they are securely inside the park and the gate is closed.

Dog behaviour: Owners are fully responsible for their dogs' behaviour. Dogs must be well-behaved, non-aggressive, and under control at all times.

Clean-Up: Owners must clean up after their dogs. Waste bags and bins are provided for your convenience.

Vaccinations: Only fully vaccinated dogs are allowed in the park. By entering, you confirm that your dog is up to date with all required vaccinations.

No Digging: Please prevent your dog from digging. If a hole is dug, notify us immediately so we can address it.

Agility Equipment: The use of agility equipment is at your own risk. Ensure your dog is physically capable before using the equipment. We are not liable for any injuries sustained from its use.

Children: Well-behaved children are welcome, but they must be supervised at all times. The park is primarily for dogs, and their safety comes first.

Equipment and Layout: Do not move any park equipment, including hay bales or any other obstacles or fixtures.

3. Liability and Responsibility

Use at Your Own Risk: By entering the park, you acknowledge that the use of the park is entirely at your own risk. We take every precaution to maintain a safe environment, but accidents and incidents can happen.

Owner Responsibility: You are responsible for any damage or injury caused by your dog to other dogs, people, or property. You agree to cover any costs resulting from such incidents.

Personal Liability: We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to persons, dogs, or personal property while using the park. It is the responsibility of the owner to manage their dog(s) and ensure their safety.

4. Health and Safety

Sick Dogs: Please do not bring your dog if they are ill or showing signs of illness, as this can pose a risk to other dogs.

Hazard Reporting: If you notice any safety hazards or issues with park equipment, please inform us immediately so we can rectify the problem.

Weather Conditions: The park is open in all weather conditions unless otherwise specified. Refunds or rescheduling are not permitted due to adverse weather once inside the 24-hour cancellation window.

5. Conduct and behaviour

Respect for Others: We expect all customers to behave respectfully toward staff and other park users. Disruptive or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated.

Lifetime Ban: Any customer who exhibits abusive behaviour toward staff, other customers, or dogs will receive a lifetime ban from the park without refund.
